The Dora Foundation provides financial help with vet bills when a much-loved pet needs essential or emergency veterinary treatment and their family cannot afford the full cost.
Unexpected vet bills can reach hundreds or even thousands of pounds. For families already under financial pressure, a sudden illness or injury can leave them facing an impossible decision.
The Dora Foundation exists to bridge that gap. We work with pet owners and veterinary practices to contribute towards necessary treatment, helping animals receive care while giving families hope.
We focus on essential medical treatment where financial hardship could prevent a pet from getting the care they need.

We may contact your veterinary practice to confirm the diagnosis, urgency and expected cost.
Applications are reviewed fairly based on medical need, available funds and financial hardship.
Where possible, grants are paid directly to the veterinary practice towards agreed treatment.

Dora wasn’t just a dog, she was family. She filled our days with unconditional love, loyalty, and countless memories we’ll cherish forever.
Sadly, the day came when we had to say our final goodbye and make the heartbreaking decision to have her put to sleep.
At one of the hardest moments of my life, I had to borrow money just to give Dora a peaceful goodbye. No one should ever have to face that kind of pain while worrying about money.
